Last month ENZ team China facilitated a visit for the New Zealand-China Council (NZCC) to Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU).
ENZ Education Manager Rosemary An joined the visit and connected the delegation with BFSU Vice President Ding Hao and a group of students who study Te Reo Māori as an elective.
BFSU will offer Te Reo Māori as a major from the 2025 September intake, which is a huge milestone for Te Reo Māori being taught offshore.
ENZ and A&T New Zealand Centre have collaborated to strengthen educational ties with Thailand, through a sports education programme at Prince Royal College.
Director International at New Plymouth Boys High School, Hugh Russell and sports specialist Liam Younger are delivering the month-long programme, which highlights New Zealand’s strengths in holistic education by combining pedagogical strategies with co-curricular development.
The visit emphasises not only the exchange of teaching techniques but also the integration of sports, particularly rugby, as a cornerstone of leadership and teamwork training.
ENZ Director of Engagement, Javiera Visedo, connected with a Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Latin America group from the University of Canterbury at their welcome reception organised by Universidad Diego Portales.
The group is in Latin America for a Stellar Spectroscopy Research Techniques programme at the Universidad Diego Portales, Santiago, Chile and then heading to the International Astronomical Union Symposium 395 in Paraty, Brazil.
ENZ team Germany were delighted to meet with about 45 students from Lynfield College and Ashburton College who were in Germany to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of school-to-school exchanges with Ernst-Haeckel Gymnasium.
ENZ Senior Market Development Manager, Kay Lee, hosted three groups of Korean students from DandaeBusok Middle School, Jungpyeong Middle School and Hangang Middle School respectively at the New Zealand embassy in Seoul.
The visit offered students the opportunity to learn about New Zealand and our education offerings, with ample opportunity to ask questions of ENZ and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade representatives. This initiative is a collaborative project with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, ENZ’s education cooperation arrangement partner.
